1. Overview

The short version
  • The core of Paheli is free. You never have to pay to solve a puzzle, get your daily introductions, or chat with a match.
  • Paid extras are digital and usually consumed the moment you buy them, so they are generally non-refundable.
  • We do refund duplicate charges, charges where nothing was delivered, and payments you did not authorise.
  • Subscriptions are cancelled in your app store, not by deleting the app or your account.
  • We are not able to refund because you did not get matches — a purchase buys a feature, never an outcome.

This summary is here to help you read faster. The sections below are the part that counts.

This policy explains how payments, cancellations and refunds work on Paheli. It is part of our Terms of Service, and it applies alongside the rules of whichever store or payment platform you bought through.

2. What can be bought

Prices are shown in Indian rupees in the app, inclusive of applicable taxes, before you confirm. Products and prices change from time to time; the app is always the current source of truth.

ProductHow it worksRefundable?
Day PassUnlocks the rest of today's lineup, once, until the daily reset.No — delivered instantly and expires the same day.
Profile BoostSurfaces your profile to more people until midnight.No — delivery starts immediately.
Credit packsCredits you spend inside the app on instant profiles and other extras.Unused credits may be considered case by case; spent credits, no.
Subscription plansTime-limited access to unlimited reveals, hints and similar perks. Renews until cancelled.Cancel any time; part-used periods are not refunded pro rata.

3. Purchases made through Google Play

Most purchases in the Android app are billed by Google Play, not by us directly. For those, Google holds the transaction and their refund process applies.

  1. Open the Google Play Store, or go to your Google Play order history.
  2. Find the Paheli purchase and choose the refund option.
  3. If the option has expired or the request is declined, email us at support.paheli@gmail.com and we will look at it under section 6 below.

Google applies its own window and criteria for self-service refunds. We can raise a request with Google on your behalf where the case is genuine, but we cannot override their decision.

4. Cancelling a subscription

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription

Neither does deleting your Paheli account. A subscription is billed by the app store and keeps renewing until you cancel it there. Please cancel first, then delete.

On Android: Play Store → tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Paheli → Cancel subscription.

  • Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, or the next period may already have been charged.
  • You keep the benefits until the end of the period you have already paid for. It simply does not renew after that.
  • We do not refund the unused part of a period that has already begun, except where section 6 applies.
  • Introductory or discounted prices apply for the stated period only, after which the standard price applies until you cancel.

5. One-off purchases

A Day Pass, a Boost and a credit pack are delivered the instant the payment succeeds. Because you receive the benefit immediately, these are non-refundable once delivered — including where:

  • you did not use the pass or boost before the daily reset;
  • the day produced no likes, matches or replies;
  • you changed your mind after buying;
  • you bought the wrong product by mistake but it was delivered correctly.

Passes and boosts expire at the daily reset whether or not you used them. That is how they are described before purchase.

6. When we do refund

We will refund you — gladly and without argument — where:

  • You were charged more than once for the same thing.
  • You paid and got nothing — the payment succeeded but the pass, boost, credits or plan never activated, and we cannot fix it.
  • A technical fault on our side made a paid feature unusable for a material part of the period you paid for.
  • The transaction was not authorised by you and you report it to us promptly. We may need to verify the account.
  • We closed your account without cause. If we terminate an account for a breach of our Terms, no refund is due — but if we got it wrong, we refund the unused portion.
  • The law requires it. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under Indian consumer-protection law.

7. When we cannot

  • You did not receive likes, matches, replies or dates. Paid features buy visibility and access, never an outcome.
  • You changed your mind, or stopped using the app.
  • Your account was suspended or banned for breaching the Terms, Terms of Use or Community Guidelines. Unused time, credits and passes are forfeited.
  • You deleted your account with time still left on a plan.
  • A brief outage or a bug that we fixed without materially affecting the period you paid for.
  • The request arrives long after the purchase, unless the law provides otherwise.

8. How to request a refund

If Google Play’s self-service option does not cover it, email support.paheli@gmail.com with the subject line Refund request and include:

  • the phone number registered on your Paheli account;
  • what you bought and the date;
  • the amount and the order or transaction ID from your app store or bank message;
  • what went wrong, in a sentence or two.

What happens then: we reply within 2 working days. If a refund is approved, it is processed within 5–7 working days to the original payment method — your bank or app store may take a few more days to show it. Refunds always go back the way the money came; we cannot pay out to a different account, and we do not refund in cash or in credits unless you ask us to.

Please do not start with a chargeback

Raising a chargeback or a payment dispute before contacting us usually freezes the account while the bank investigates, and it takes far longer than simply emailing us. Ask us first — we would rather fix it.

9. Prices, taxes and changes

  • All prices are in Indian rupees and include applicable taxes unless the app says otherwise.
  • We may change prices, run offers, or stop selling a product. Changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
  • If the price of a recurring plan changes, you will be told before it takes effect and can cancel before renewal.
  • Promotional pricing, referral credits and trial periods are not exchangeable for cash.

Charged for something that looks wrong?
