Where our responsibility ends

Paheli introduces people. It does not screen them, vouch for them, or supervise what happens next. This page says so plainly, so that nobody finds out the hard way.

1. The short version

The short version
  • Paheli introduces people. It does not screen them, vouch for them, or supervise what happens after the introduction.
  • Every profile you see was written by a stranger. We do not verify a word of it.
  • Whether you chat, share your number, meet, travel or go anywhere with someone is entirely your decision and your risk.
  • Paheli is not responsible for what another user does to you — online, on another app, or in person.
  • Money you send to another user is gone. We cannot recover it and we are not liable for it.

This summary is here to help you read faster. The sections below are the part that counts.

In one sentence

You use Paheli at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and for everything that follows from them.

This Disclaimer forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read with sections 4, 5, 12 and 13 of that document and with our Safety Centre.

2. We do not screen or verify users

Paheli Dating does not carry out:

  • criminal-record or police background checks;
  • identity verification against government databases or official documents;
  • sex-offender register checks;
  • checks on marital status, employment, education, income, health or anything else a profile claims.

Where a profile shows a verification badge, it means a light in-app check was completed. It is not a guarantee of anyone’s identity, age, character, intentions or safety, and it should not change a single precaution you take.

3. We are not responsible for other users

People on Paheli are independent adults. They are not our employees, agents, contractors or representatives, and we do not control them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paheli accepts no responsibility or liability for the acts or omissions of any user, including but not limited to: dishonesty or misrepresentation; harassment, stalking, threats or abuse; discrimination; theft or property damage; fraud or financial loss; sexual misconduct; physical injury; or death — whether it occurs inside the app, on another platform, over a call, or in person.

4. Meetings, dates and anything that follows

The decision to meet someone from Paheli is entirely yours, and so is every decision around it — where you meet, how you get there, what you drink, whether you stay, whether you travel, and whether you go anywhere private.

Paheli takes no responsibility for anything that happens before, during or after a meeting arranged through the app. We are not present, we do not supervise, and we have no ability to intervene. Please read the Safety Centre before you meet anyone, and take every precaution it lists.

5. Profiles and user content

Profiles, photos, prompts and messages are created by users, not by Paheli. We do not author them, endorse them, or check them for accuracy. Moderation catches what it can — it is not, and cannot be, a guarantee.

Any opinion, claim or advice expressed by a user is theirs alone. Any reliance you place on it is at your own risk.

6. No guarantee of matches or outcomes

Paheli gives you a chance to meet people. It does not promise you will. We do not guarantee:

  • that you will receive introductions on any given day;
  • that anyone will like you back, reply, or keep replying;
  • that you will get a date, a relationship or a marriage;
  • that a paid feature will produce more matches, more attention or any result at all. A purchase buys access to a feature, never an outcome.

7. Money, gifts and transfers between users

Never send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards or account details to anyone you met on Paheli. Not for an emergency, not for an investment, not for a parcel, not for a job.

Paheli is not a party to any transaction, arrangement, gift, loan or investment between users, does not facilitate them, cannot reverse them, and accepts no liability for any resulting loss — even where the contact began on our app. If you have lost money, call 1930 and file at cybercrime.gov.in immediately, then report the profile to us.

8. The service itself

Paheli is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, and we are not liable for:

  • downtime, maintenance, outages, or failures of the internet, your device, your carrier or our providers;
  • bugs, delays, lost or undelivered messages, missed notifications, or a puzzle or introduction that did not appear;
  • loss or corruption of content, matches or conversation history;
  • features being changed, limited or discontinued, or the app being withdrawn from a region.

9. Third parties

Paheli relies on app stores, payment platforms, cloud hosting, SMS and mapping providers, and links out to third-party sites. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, availability, charges, acts or omissions. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your dealings with them.

10. Nothing here is professional advice

Content on Paheli and on this website — including safety guidance, prompts and tips — is general information, not professional advice. It is not relationship counselling, legal advice, medical advice, financial advice or psychological treatment. If you need any of those, please consult a qualified professional.

11. Limits of this disclaimer

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, Paheli’s total aggregate liability is limited as set out in section 13 of the Terms of Service.

What this page cannot do

Nothing here excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Indian law — including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or obligations under consumer-protection law. This page describes our position as far as the law permits, and no further.
